I changed the stock Bartolini pickups on my Ibanez BTB845SC to Nordstrand Big splits. I made this video, because I compared a lot of videos on youtube to fin Bartolini® BH2 pickups.

Bartolini is the industry standard for professional-caliber bass pickups. Production wise, the BH2 is out to replace the BH1, which was replacing the MK2. The MK2, as well as BH1 and BH2, were collaboration results of Bill Bartolini and top Ibanez engineers, thus they are proprietary to Ibanez basses. OTOH, the MK1 isn't Ibanez specific. They are being used also in Cort, Lakland, and other brand basses.

Bartolini Pickups/Electronics Bartolini first appeared at the dawn of replacement pickups for electric instruments in the Early 1970’s. Started by Bill Bartolini in 1973, Bartolini Pickups and Electronics was one of the very first companies to offer a pickup that was not from one of the big 5 guitar companies Fender, Gibson, Gretsch, Guild or Rickenbacker. Bartolini® BH2 humbuckers and a 3-band active EQ with a variable mid-frequency offer wide-reaching tonal flexibility. There is also an EQ bypass switch for passive operation with the treble control acting as a passive tone control when the EQ is bypassed. Hi folks, Ive been looking at the Ibanez SR range and Im pretty tempted with one. The choice is really between the SR600 and the SR750.
